Horseback riding is the best way to experience the majestic Rocky Mountains. The spectacular White River National Forest and Flat Tops Wilderness areas are accessed by numerous trailheads making each trail ride unique. If you’re quiet, you may have the opportunity to see wildlife, such as moose, mule deer, elk, coyotes or maybe even a bear.
Fall trail rides are a favorite. The mountain air is crisp and cool and the Aspen trees provide stunning views with their brilliant shades of golden yellow, orange and red interlaced in the evergreens.
We will provide an experienced guide to accompany you as you explore the high mountain trails to provide personal attention, instruction, and knowledge of the area to ensure that you enjoy your back country adventure.
Our dependable, sure-footed, mountain horses are individually trained for your riding pleasure so you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views from the saddle. Whether you prefer a gentle, kid-safe mount or a spirited horse for the experienced rider, we do our best to ensure that horse and rider are compatible for a safe and enjoyable ride.

June 25, July 24, and August 23
Reservations required.

Our Starlight Horseback Rides take place under the enchanting canopy of a new moon, where the absence of moonlight reveals a breathtaking blanket of stars. Unlike a moonlight ride, which is bathed in soft lunar glow, the starlight ride immerses you in near-total darkness, heightening your senses and deepening your connection with the wilderness around you. Guided by the faint shimmer of starlight and the surefootedness of your horse, this serene experience offers a truly magical and introspective journey through nature, perfect for stargazing and feeling at one with the night. Just like our Moonlight Ride, this adventure begins at sunset, followed by a cozy campfire at camp, before riding back under the magical starlight.
